NYE and keeping the secret

We are going to Vermont for new years this weekend with my brother and his wife and another couple. My brother and his wife know I'm pregnant. Do you think there is any way around telling the other couple?? I think they will notice that I don't order a drink at dinner and there is an outdoor heated pool which I won't be able to go into. Also no skiing! Any ideas??

I would either tell them and ask them to please keep it a secret, OR just not say anything at all. I really don't think there is an easy way to hide it when you are spending a weekend with them. They will probably suspect, but what can you do, really? The problem with not telling them and letting them just suspect is that they might talk about it with other people. At least if you tell them outright and ask them to keep it quiet until you're ready to tell everyone else, your secret is safer, imo. I had a similar situation early in my pregnancy and we decided to tell the couple and ask them to not tell - we felt it was better than them gossiping.

It's up to you, but are they the pushy type to say something or the type to shrug it off?

Also, I know hot tubs are a no no but I thought heated pools (much lower temps) were fine?
