NYC Teachers Monday 2/11
Are you going in? Where are you travelling from?
I live in Ronkonkoma and travel to Midtown. I am really starting to think I am going to have to take a day and I really do not want to!

I live in Centereach and go to Ozone Park. I am so torn. My kids daycare will probably be closed tomorrow and I am 7 months pregnant but it is killing me to lose a day. I guess the deciding factor will be how icy it is tomorrow morning. If I get on to Nicolls and it is a disaster then I might just turn around.

The roads in western Suffolk, Nassau and Queens are clear. You won't have any trouble driving.
Now parking, that's a different story!

The issue is getting to western suffolk.
Pretty much. DH just went out to get me gas and said unless something drastically changes I am not going to work tomorrow. He went up the block to 25 to get gas and the roads are horrible.

NYC Teachers Monday 2/11
DH tried to go out today. It literally took him 45 minutes to get from the traffic light at Walmart east to the traffic light at Waldbaums on 347. He said traffic was not permitted to travel north on Nichols Road across 347.

I drive from Medford to Queens. I'm leaning towards no. I'm also waiting to see if the LIE opens. If not, definitely no. Also, now with a freezing rain advisory that is making me very nervous.
