I am looking to get tickets to see the Nutcracker. Any advice on where to sit/not to sit/discounts etc?

Re: NYC Ballet
We went a couple of years ago, and from what I remember, all the seats were good.

Re: NYC Ballet
Stay out of the fourth ring....if you can help it. Seats not that great; you're looking mainly down. The best seats in the house (IMO) are first ring. Second and third ring anywhere are really good, too. Orchestra seating is lovely, as the theatre is raked (slanted) so you can see everything.
