Has anyone gone this year? We bouught the tickets forever ago and are supposed to go tomorrow. Just want to be sure it's worth the trip.
Thanks!

Re: NY Botanical Train Show
We went yesterday and honestly I wasn't a fan. Neither was DH. The trains themselves were nothing special. The display itself is amazing in that they make beautiful building replicas using all plant material but nothing a 3 yr old can appreciate. I personally would not go again. Between parking, tolls, and lunch (the tickets were free - corporate) it wasn't worth the expense. If we had paid for the tickets then I'd really have been upset.

Re: NY Botanical Train Show
That's what I was worried about... DS is a little over 3 1/2 and DD is only 2 1/2 and I wasn't sure it would be worth going. We only paid $10 for all 4 tickets so I don't feel so bad about not going.
Thank you for sharing.

Re: NY Botanical Train Show
DC LOVED the train show. DD was 10 months and DS was 2.5ish (a bit younger).
There are miles of track, it's held indoors (greenhouse) and is a good way to get some sun. We had lunch afterwards in the restaurant at the gardens.
I'd go... we paid a fortune for our tickets (peak season, weekend) and thought it was worth every $

NY Botanical Train Show
My ds loved it. He spent over an hour looking at the displays. He is realllly into trains though and loves going places to see layouts etc. This one is different from a regular train show bc as pp mentioned the structures are made of plant materials- so the exhibit is really not about the trains themselves.
