Nutritionist
Has anyone ever used one?
I had my physical yesterday and I was discussing my weight frustrations w/my doctor.
I told him my workout routine. (I usually do kickboxing 4 - 5 days a week - one hour clases which incorporates stretching, weight training, cardio and core). Other days I usually run 3.5 miles.
I watch what I eat. I am 5 ft 5 inch and wear anywhere between a 6 & 8
My doctor said for my height I should weigh approximately 10 lbs less and based on my workout, I should be able to accomplish that #. He suggested a nutritionist.
Just wondering if it's worth it.

Re: Nutritionist
I have thyroid issues, and my endocrinologist recommended that I see the one in her office. I was turned off off the bat because she was heavier than I was. How can you be a nutritionist if you yourself are not healthy!! Anyway, she wanted me to do like a slim fast type plan for 2 weeks to clean out my system. I didn't like what she was telling me at all. My aunt used to see one, and she loved her. I guess with any doctor, you have to find the right fit.

Re: Nutritionist
Hi
I have used one and it was good. I did alot of get thin quick shemes and they dont work so I went to the nutrionist that gave me a good meal plan but many of the things she taught me I knew . You sound like your doing everything you could and that you are a great size . I have been struggling with the same thing for a while . I used to be a 4 and now Im around a 6 . I excersse and watch everything but I just shoot up a size and a half . I beat myself up for over a year trying all these differant food plans and excerises but the weight still stayed the same . I came to the conclusion that Im not a little girl and should not be shopping in the jr section anymore . I have been trying to accept my curves and be proud of myself . You probaly look great so as long as you feel good , I saw just screw the doctor ..

Re: Nutritionist
I see a nutritionist, she is part of my wellness program at my job, our insurance company Oxford covers her services. She does have her own business. Her website is www.eatfood.biz, she is amazing and I lost over 50 pounds since last year when I started working with her. Her name is Elizabeth Fassberg, feel free to look up her site. I know she works with the insurance companies so that's how I don't have to pay for her services, but I am pretty sure she does consultations on her own without going through a company. Thanks Let me know how it goes.
