Nutramigen and feeling full

DS is now 2 months old. He was put on Nutramigen around 3 weeks because he seemed very uncomfortable on Enfamil and was only pooping every few days (not because of a milk protein allergy). Since being on Nutramigen he does much better. The only problem is he never seems full! 2 hours after I feed him, he's crying for more - no matter how much I fed him before. And he's only been going 3 hours between bottles at night. The dr said it's likely because the Nutramigen is broken down already so he'll react much more similarly to a BF baby.

So my question is, for mommies who had their babies on Nutramigen, did you experience the same thing? I'm afraid DS will never be satisfied during the day and will never sleep well on this formula, so I'm wondering if I should try Gentleease or even Enfamil again now that he's older.

omg i said the same thing when my twins went on it!! they always looked like they wanted an extra ounce after each bottle and they were screaming for bottles earlier!!

Your dc is only 2 months. When dd was that age we were feeding every 2.5-3 hrs. Did u try upping the ounces a bit? That may help. I will say now at 6 months she drinks 6-7 oz every 4 hrs ( four bottles a day) and she's on regular food now so I think that keeps her fuller. It will get better!

He already takes 5-6 oz per bottle at 6 bottles a day and I'm not supposed to feed too much more than 32 oz per day. He's taken 7 oz in a bottle fine but I can't do that in every bottle or I'll go way over 32. The dr said to try upping it to 8 oz in hopes he eats less frequently but I don't see that happening. I am just lost as to what else I can try. I don't want my baby hungry! But I also know I can't feed him 50oz per day.

Does he show any signs of reflux? Sometimes a reflux baby wants to drink all the time to ease the pain from the burn of reflux (spit up)...
My dd was put on Alimentum and she took the same amount of ounces she was taking when she was on Gerber Good Start.

Nutramigen is very thin.. DS was on that for a couple of weeks and he was only eating 2-3 oz every 2-3 hours... Nothing I could do about it... He had a severe milk protein and soy allergy and reflux. When we switched to Elecare at 5 weeks old, it was the same way until he was about 5-6 months old. At night, he would take 3-4 oz, but he couldn't take anymore... You can always try another formula..

Arching when eating. Crying. Fussiness. Spitting up then crying. Congestion or wheezing but not sick no nasal congestion all in the chest

actually, reflux could be it. dd takes axid too and that seems to help.
also it could be silent reflux---the main thing to look for is arching back, and fussiness while eating, maybe bring it up with the dr.
