Are they the same product just by differnet companies??

My ped said we could use either one when DS was switching formula so I would guess they are the same

they are very close but i wouldnt say the same because DD could NOT handle Nutramagin but she does very well on Alimentum.

that's interesting. I would've thought they were the same. When you say she could not handle it, how did you know, what type of reaction did she have?

Do your babies suffer from colic or are you giving them that formula for other reasons?
My kids we're never coliky but they did have eczema and I had to switch their formula to Nutramigen for that reason. It worked miracles but also burned a hole in the pocket!

Wow - i remember my sister being on nutramigen - it was the only formula she could keep down - she's 21 now!!!

Actually, from what I know, no, they are not the same thing. Alimentum is cow's milk based and Nutramigen is corn-starch based.
