Nursing Bras

I'm looking at getting a few nursing bras to have when baby comes. What are your recommendations, and what size should I get? I was a 34C pre-pregnancy, and currently wearing a 36DD Chat Icon . I don't want to spend a ton of money, incase BF doesn't work out.

Re: Nursing Bras

OMG, how weird we are exactly the same. \

I was a 34C pre pg, and went up to 36DD(36E in maternity). The 36E in maternity/nursing is a tad bit small for me now while nursing, but I had already bought 4 bras and I only plan on nursing while I am off from work.

I would get 1 one size bigger, a 36F, and see how it goes.

Also try to get a good one without an underwire. My fav is motherhood's lounge bra, so comfy to wear around the house and to bed. I have 2 underwires, and THEY KILL ME! I can only wear them for a short period of time cause they clog milk ducts under my boobs.

ETS: I got them at motherhood, and motherhood.com. I didn't spend more than 17-18 bucks on them.

Re: Nursing Bras

I am still wearing the same size I wore while PG (1 number and 1-2 letters bigger than pre-PG).

I didn't like the non-underwire ones at all. I felt I sagged too much and did not have enough support. I think it is a matter of comfort. I bought 1 from Medela and 2 from JCPenney.com (Leading Lady brand -- they have "formed" cups so don't really put much pressure on the breasts). I also got one for $10 from Motherhood but it is cotton. I did not like the cotton ones because they stretch out during the day, and shirts don't "fall" nicely over them. These are just my opinions.
