Nursery (Plants)
Does anyone know of a good Nursery in the Suffolk area that has better pricing then HD or Lowes?

Re: Nursery (Plants)
We use Paul's Nursery in Greenlawn.
I've never used HD or Lowes for any plantings, so I couldn't really compare pricing.
What kind of plantings are you looking for? I have had good experiences with some catalog/online nurseries.

Re: Nursery (Plants)
We're looking for various plants; we cleared out a corner where a lot of weeds previously existed and want to make a nice flower bed. The bed is 20x6 which is on a small incline and there's a fence along the back part of the bed so we want something on the back along the fence that will grow tall and wide to cover the bottom of the fence as well as some colorful flowering plants to fill the rest of the bed.
We want mostly perennials.

Cheap sam's?
I went here yesterday since it's very close to me. Their prices are higher in some cases but the convenience, drive around the lot and stock your car as you shop and selection makes up for it. Great place!

Re: Nursery (Plants)
We went to Bloomin Haus nursery and they had a huge section of perrenials. Prices were on-par with Home Depot but their quality and selection was Far, far superior.

I agree with Cheap Sams
we have bought many plants, trees and bushes over the years from them and never had a problem with them dying or not growing. They "might" be a little more expensive (I havent done a price comparison) but the nice healthy plants you get from them is a plus for me!

Re: Nursery (Plants)
I went to Borella's in E. Setauket yesterday. They were about the same price for a flat that HD has, but the flowers are GORGEOUS, not one dead looking one in the bunch.
