Nursery dilema

The nursery is currently a pale lilac w/ a plum colored carpet. it is perfect for a little girl. The dilema is that we aren't finding out the sex and if it's a boy, it will need to be painted. DH planned on painting it while I was in the hospital (4 days-c section) My mother is telling me there should be no painting in the house once the baby is here. I thought as long as they sleep in our room for a while & the nursery is aired out (ceiling fan & windows) it would be okay. What do you think?

Re: Nursery dilema

I wouldn't paint anything within a couple weeks of the baby coming home..... why not have DH paint it a silver grey right now? that's gender neutral, and would complement the carpeting...
