What do they do during this appt? My doctor referred me to Madonna for it. Ty!

you mean the ultrascreen?
I think it's a high definition ultrasound. They take all sorts of detailed measurements of the embryo.... including the folds on the back of the neck. They also take a small blood sample from you which looks for other possible indicators of genetic problems... They then put all that info into a statistical program which then predicts the probability of chromosomal / genetic abnormalities.....

I had my NT test done at Madonna. It is usually done around 12 weeks, they do a sonogram and then a finger-prick blood test. Both tests combined give you the odds of having a baby with DS.

Ditto.
They do an external and internal sono. External is to do measurements of the fetus. Internal is for ovary measurement.
