Nubest salon?
I am looking for a new salon that gives great hair cuts. I live in Queens and am willing to go to LI. Does anyone have any experience with this salon? Thanks.

I went there for a few years. Jamie cut my hair. He did an awesome job, I just got sick of the "scene" there and all of the tipping.
I felt like I spent a fortune on tips. It starts with the valet only parking, then the assistant who "helps" the hairdresser hold pieces of your hair while he cuts it. The assistant also blow drys your hair. Then there's the girl who washes your hair...

Thank you for your responses. I made an appt with Jamie. I will plan on bringing lots of tip money with me. I just want to try a new place and finally get a good hair cut.

Jaime cut my hair once, he did a great job, but every single person there is a total snob and I would never go back

I go there sometimes when I can't get into the city. Danielle cuts my hair and I really like her and she does a good job.
You don't have to park in the valet - you can park yourself. I've found that sometimes they use the assistants but, as long as it is not too busy they don't. I don't find it to be that expensive b/c the blow out is included in the cut (and it isn't the other places I've gone). HTH!
