NPR: sort of...

maybe i've been thinking this because its VDay .. DD is 4 months and finally sleeping through the night, reflux is semi under control etc... we had a rough start, am back at work for a month now, but i realized that i dont think DH and i talk about anything other than her. He's with her when i'm at work and vice versa so of course my first question is "how was she today, how much did she eat, spit-up, drool etc..."

i don't even know what else to talk about anymore??? isn't that crazy? anyone else feel this way. i don't want to turn into a boring person. DD goes to bed at 9:30 and usually we just watch tv, clean up etc. and hit the sack? sorry so long...

Re: NPR: sort of...

I just read on here somewhere from one poster who does this - and I decided we would try - to have a night (once a week) where it's just us. I will cook (I never do) and we will just hang out the two of us - no computer - no telephone - nothing. I think we all need this to reconnect at times.

DH and I do def. talk about other things than DS - but I still think every relationship can use a good tune-up every now and then!

Same problem. DS has colic many evenings, so when DH comes home, he is usually screaming. We take turns with DS, take turns eating dinner, clean up, get DS to go to sleep finally, and by then, we're too worn out to do much more than go to sleep ourselves.

I want to wait another month before leaving DS with a sitter, but I think we need to do this soon. We almost never talk to one another anymore except about DS and the things we have to discuss, bills, etc.
