NPR: Montauk w/ baby
we're thinking of going just to get out of the city for 1-2 nights with DD and would like to stay somewhere beachfront so that we don't need to drive anywhere since we're both sick of commuting etc... and can go back to the room to change her, get in shade if need be... can you recommend somewhere nice, clean and not too pricey. thank you!

Re: NPR: Montauk w/ baby
we stay at the Ocean Beach Resort - its right on the water. They have a little deck on each room - its small - enough for 2 chairs and a small table. Then you just take the steps down to the beach. They also have a indoor pool so if it rains there is something to do. We go there every year. The rooms are ok, - has a small stove and fridge.

You've gotten some good suggestions, but are you going to drive OUT there? B/c although you can walk around Mtk a lot, you will be restricting yourself if you have to take cabs...and I don't love taking cabs with my DS anyway.

I would go with Royal Atlantic. It's right on the beach and in town so you can walk to everything.

Re: NPR: Montauk w/ baby
I've stayed at the Ocean Beach Resort tons of times and have always been happy (they have an indoor pool)
We stayed at the Royal Atlantic last year and it was also good.
Next week I'm going w/ a friend to the Atlantic Terrace.
All are walking distance to town.

I agree,,,we love it at Royal Atlantic and go every year. We stay in the condo's, but I think you have to stay a full week.
