NPR: life insurance - which company?
can anyone recommend their life insurance carrier please and give an idea of how much a basic policy would cost annually? thank you

There are a lot of variables in life insurance that it is very hard to answer your question. Premiums depend on face value and type and can vary greatly. I suggest starting with your causality insurance carriers...like auto and home...see if they can offer you something with a discount for multiple products.

we are using Merrill Lynch
million dollar policy for my hubby is about $750 a year
$500,000 for me is $400 something a year
for 30 years
plus we are doing a 529 plan for Hailey

ITA. We use Liberty Mutual since they also insure our cars and home. We get a discount through my job.
I can tell you what we pay but it could be substantially different depending on what type you chose (term, group, etc), how many years you want to pay for, your health, family history, etc.
