NPR: Candy buffet with 2nd question

DS's birthday party is on the 4th. I was going to make all the candy for the buffet this saturday (so 8 days before)
DH is concerned that some of it will go stale.

Can I make the minibrownies and cakepops a week ahead if i keep them in the fridge or will they go stale?

TIA

how about chocolate covered oreos? obviously nothing to spoil there right? Plus I know you can keep the chocolate lollipops in the fridge for a while so i figured the oreos would be safe as well.

Re: NPR: Candy buffet

I wouldn't bake a week in advance....even in the fridge, it'll probably go stale. 3-4 days is the most I would risk.

I wouldn't. Besides going stale, the candy-coating on the cake pops will probably crack, or get condensation.

I think you can make the batter and roll the balls and freeze ahead of time, but I'm not sure how long. I'd let the frozen balls sit out just a little before dipping though because I've heard if they're too cold, the coating will crack.
