NPR: Advice Needed
I'm going to try and make this as brief as possible.. My in-laws are coming this weekend from out of state and while they usually stay at my parents house (we all stay there they have tons of space) they insist on staying at our apartment this time. We have a 2 br 1 bath. We are going to go out and get an aero bed tomorrow that way they can take our bed and we'll sleep on the blow up mattress. So that solves the sleeping problem.
However, My husband is working all both Saturday and Sunday till 5:30. No way of getting out of it he's the senior pediatric resident in the NICU this month. What do I do with them all day? I have been so so sick and have no energy, but obviously we can't hang out in our apartment and watch tv all day. They don't want to see my parents so going over there for a visit is out. Any suggestions are welcome. I live in Nassau County, but would be willing to travel with them. They hate the city so that pretty much eliminates that.

Well depending on what they like or don't like you could
- go bowling
- go to a museum (long island museum of art)
- mall
- botanic gardens (one in brooklyn, one in albertson. I think brookly is much nicer and isn't really 'city'
- the cloisters are also really nice.. also in the city but doesn't feel like the city
would they go do something on their own so you don't have to gallivant about. . it's awful to feel so crappy and tired and have to be host. .

White Post Farms and Hicks Nursery are all decorated for the fall and are cute just to go and walk through
What about the little shops at Milleridge Inn - I love going in the cooler weather and getting a hot starbucks drink and walking through there
You should look to see if there are any festivals or fairs going on in your area

i would say movies are a good bet if you've been sick. it's not very touristy, but it will keep them busy if you want to get out of the house!
