NPR - Camcorders
Well, for us it's parenting related since we want to get a camcorder to capture more of DD's moments...
Does anyone have any reccomendations for a good camcorder...I've been doing research online, but I would love some first hand opinions!!

I have a SONY HDD(hard disk drive) DCR-SR40 and I love it, very easy to use, holds a ton and the software it comes with makes it easy to put onto DVD's...

I have a similar one. I think mine is the SR85 or 80?
It took me a long time to decide on a camcorder and I have to say I am very happy with my choice.

It took me a long time to decide on a camcorder and I have to say I am very happy with my choice.
We got one of those too. The Sony hard drive with 60 gigs. The quality is great, it's easy to use and easy to upload. The software came with it also, but I haven't had the chance to play with that yet.
ETA There was a Canon HD-10 (or something like that) that we also looked at and got good reviews and it was cheaper. But the Sony recorded in widescreen format with 5 channel sound and that was enough to sell my husband on being able to watch home videos on his set up. Now we put something on and I can hear people talking over my shoulder from the back surround sound speakers! It picks up everything, so be careful what you say around one of those!

Hard drive is the way to go, if you get the one with the little cd they only hold a little info and the CD's are $$$$. I think they hold less than an hour. We have a sony hard drive it was about 1500 i dont know the name right now though
