NOW I'm more excited than ever!
I just came home from visiting my friend who just had her third baby. Her middle DD is my DD's age. This visit made me soooooo excited to have this new baby. Up until now while of course I've been excited, I've also been stressing over how DD will react and whether 2 was too young for a sibling. The whole ride there DD said "going to see baby! Going to see baby!!". She didn't show a ton of interest in the baby at first (which is fine by me), but when I held the newborn she came over all smiles and whispering to the baby. She wanted to sit as close as possible to me and just stared with the hugest smile.
I by no means think every day will be like that when the baby comes home, but I now see that DD is at the perfect age (for her) to understand what a baby is and to be excited and gentle. OMG I cannot wait to give her a sibling! 10 weeks to go!

That is so sweet. We have had a lot of close friends have babies recently so I've been able to see how DD will do with the babies and also how the little girl I watch will do with them, and it is reassuring and exciting...because you see how in love with them they are. It's the sweetest thing!
