NOW I AM getting confused

stroller, the infant carseat vs travel system
isnt the travel system just the stoller & car seat in one?? what are the pros and cons???
Totaly dont like the snap & go deal ( but that just makes it more confusing)

Re: NOW I AM getting confused

a travel system comes with the infant seat.

Some people think they are not that great quality. I never had one so can't comment.

I have to say the snap and go was the best gift I got. I used it everyday till my son was out of the infant seat. So light and easy to get in and out of the car. I would go that route.

For a stoller I had a Graco and the matching car seat. Bought seperate.

Don't think I ever put the car seat in the stroller.

The "travel system: is the infant car seat that fits on the usually matching strolller. I love the snap and go because it was light and easy to get in and out of the car for quick trips to the store.

You need a stroller and a car seat. Graco and other manufacturers sell them together as a travel system, or you can buy them separately. All of Graco's carseats are the snugride. It will probably come down to the pattern you like and the stroller you like. There are different model strollers - metrolite, vienna, mosiac, quattro. Hope that helps.

I just went through this debate. Here is what I "think" I am doing after much thought. I am getting a separate stroller and a separate carseat. I will use the snap&go for the carseat while the baby is still in the infant seat. I found that the travel system was a little more bulky than the stroller that I liked.

Re: NOW I AM getting confused

I have the quatro travel system from Graco. I absolutely love it. People say it is too heavy, it is so not heavy at all! I can easily lift in it and out of my car with no problems. And I love the convenience of just snapping the car seat right in, and it fold down super easy, I can do it with one hand.

Re: NOW I AM getting confused

Lets see if we can break down the whole Travel Sytem vs stroller/carseat debacle....

Graco stroller only: ~ 89.99-149.00

Graco Snugride carseat only: ~69.99- 149.99

Travel System (includes select matching Snugride carseat AND stroller- essentially a package of the previous 2 items): 199.99-249.99

The Snugride infant carseat frame (Snap and Go) is JUST a frame with wheels that the infant carseat will snap into. It serves the same purpose as the stroller does in the beginning- it's a place to put the carseat when you're out. Many find the frame to be more lightweight and easier to lug around than the whole stroller.

It's a separate purchase, not a necessity and they run about 50.00.....

Bugaboo sells car seat adapters which converts the stroller to a snap and go kind of stroller...it becomes more than a stroller...

Re: NOW I AM getting confused

I had teh travel system but I wound up getting the snap and go and used the infant car seat from the travel system with it. Since the stroller was a bit bulky. I loved the snap and go and I didn't use the travel system stroller till DD was out of the infant car seat. I had an evenflo and it is still in great condition so I will be using it for baby number 2
