Re: Now he won't nap....
Jack's naps are all hit or miss. Sometimes he'll be down for 30 mins (like just now) and other times he'll be down for three hours. It's frustrating bc I never know how long they will be.
I think an hour is still great for naps. How many is he getting a day?

Re: Now he won't nap....
An hour seems reasonable, no? I've noticed that DD's naps are becoming a bit shorter as she's getting older.
As the pp asked, how many naps a day is he getting? Is he fussy when he's not napping?

Re: Now he won't nap....
Is he screaming to get up? I mean, with Noah, he will wake once or twice during a nap, I just turn the swing back on, shush him a little, pacifier and he goes back down after a few minutes.

Re: Now he won't nap....
I think he's doing about 3 naps a day on a good day.....
he CAN be fussy when awake and other times he'll sleep for 30 min, I play with him, and he gets tired again....

Re: Now he won't nap....
Are you swaddling him? Maybe that'll help if you're not already doing so ...

Re: Now he won't nap....
At that age I used to get anywhere from 20 minutes to 1.5 hours but the longer ones were rare.

Same here. Naps didn't get regular until about 7-8 months.

Re: Now he won't nap....
DS was horrible napper until he was about 5 or 6 months old. He would only take cat naps that lasted the most 30 minutes. If I let him sleep on me then that was another story.

Same here...DS will nap anywhere from 30 minutes to 3 or 4 hours. It's never predictable.
