not sure what else to do
My dog has been scratching a lot since last summer. I've been to two different vets and he has been on meds, injections and a restricted diet and not much improvement. The weird thing is he only scratches his face, like around the cheeks. I've taken him off all the meds and apparently it's enviromental allergies. Any1 had this happen?

Re: not sure what else to do
I had this happen to a dog we had when I was a kid...she was a mutt...they thought mostly wheaten terrier-so she has kind of curly/wavey fur, not long though...anyway, we did homeopathic rememdies! We used to add like a 1/2 teaspoon of olive oil to her food, or give her a 1/2 a can of tuna in oil, or 1/2 cup of pumpkin (it has natural oils in it, great for thier coats)...and then we also used to take her to the bay to swim in salt water...it would clear it right up.....
I have to say, my lab now swims in salt water (bay) every day, every other day...and his skin is great, no irritations, etc....
