Not sure if this was a compliment..or insult...
Yesterday we went to a BBQ at a friends house and I saw a girlfriend who I haven't seen in a while. She saw my belly and was telling me how cute I looked, and how she thought I was all belly. She then went on to say...you don't look any different...maybe just your nose??? Umm..excuse me??? I don't think my nose looks ANY different, bigger or smaller.
Would you have been offended??? I was!

For I while I was sure that my nose wasn't changing but people started saying the same thing to me. When I really looked - it was true. But it makes sense since we have such a hard time breathing that our body (nose) would need to accomodate.
Sounds like she really was very sweet in terms of compliments. Based on everything else - I would not be offended. She sounds excited for you.
But I understand how weird it is to hear someone say that.

I think my nose has gotten wider, and people say it hasn't (but I really think it has  ). Just can't win, you know?

You know, people are SOOOO obsessed with all the old wives tales---how you are supposed to look, and things like that......dont worry about it---just let it roll off your back...
I had people in my family tell me it looks like I lost weight----they said I was so swollen looking last time they see me (I NEVER thought I swelled). I was a little mad about this, but whatever!

We do seem to change in every way possible during pregnancy dont we?...People talk about how a baby girl will change a mommys face...I dont think that this has ever happened to me. But I do know that my face is very puffy this time around..and its not so much from the limited weight gain but more from being pregnant.
