Not sure if I should be annoyed or flatted
Yesterday I told one of the moms at DD's class that I'm pregnant , she asked how far along and I told her 14 weeks on Fri . She got all excited,congretulated me and then said oh my god , you don't look pregnant at all, you haven't gained anything and no belly?! are you sure you are so far along ? I smiled and said yes.
Now this morning I go to drop off DD , this mom saw me and went into the whole OMG you don't look pregnant at all conversation and then she went on to say - and I'm quoting - " are you sure your OB didn't make a mistake? Because you should be showing at least a little bit , that shirt is pretty tight and I don't see anything , is the baby really small or something?". At that point I didn't even know what to say, I just said yes we are 100% sure so is my OB , but thanks I guess and left.
Seriously , some people ... Who says stuff like that? Maybe I'm just hormonal or something but I found her comments a tiny bit rude. No?

lol that's what DH said , that I should be flattered and I was until she said the thing about my OB possibly be wrong and asked about baby being small, I found that odd that someone woul d say something like this. I don't know , again maybe I'm just hormonal , who knows with my mood swings.

So weird though - it is not like 14 weeks is SO far into the pregnancy that you should be popped out. I didn't pop until probably 16-18 weeks!!!

ugh, people say the dumbest thing sometimes, I mean I wouldn't be offended and just brush it off. I feel at 18 weeks I finally look pregnant and not just fat

I don't think it's rude but I do think it's stupid... lol..
But feel free to remind people that the baby is the size of a lemon right now. Lemons don't necessarily create a noticeable bump.

I didn't show until around 16/17 weeks and my MIL made the same annoying comments. It is flattering now that I am bigger at 18 weeks and think back on it. But when you hear that at the time, I know firsthand it can be quite insulting.

I think her wording was all wrong..to me it sounded offensive a lil bit, but I doubt she meant it that way.

I just want to say I was def not offended or anything, I just found some of her comments odd, that's all. I know she didn't mean anything , but it came out wrong I think . But it's all good, she is a nice woman and seemed very happy for me, I guess we all say silly stuff sometimes, I know I have

I would be annoyed simply because not all women show the same. Im almost 36wks and some people still have no clue Im pregnant and the people who are finally finding out keep saying that Im so tiny blah blah, its annoying.

Everyone carries differently. My girlfriend doesnt look pregnant at all until well after 5 months.
