Not smiling for the camera.

DS has a great smile and usually happy. Oh, he can be moody too.... Lol
Most of the time happy though.
Anyway, for some reason when the camera comes out he won't smile and he's got a great smile. He even h his own little camera. A few types. Love taking pics, but when it's on him he puts o a serious face. If I tell him to say "cheese" he says no that he wants to say "hi" and gives a blank stare at the camera. Ugh.
You have to get him off guard.
Anyway, got my SIL's wedding over the weekend we were all in it. My boys were ring bearer's and it was impossible to get him to smile. I know it was a long day for a 21 month old and almost 4 yr old. Just refused to smile. I hope the photographer was good and got some candids. We tried everything to get him to laugh, but nothing.

I don't like forcing it if he is really not in the mood, but sometimes I will tell my DC to show me what he looks like when he (or someone else) is happy. It's a totally fake smile, but sometimes better than the blank stare.

I've taught him it says "hee hee hee".

Oh DD does that! She's smile any other time, but when she sees the camera she puts on her "serious" face. It's so annoying!

My twins are the same exact way. They are very happy kids, but as soon as they see a camera they automatically stop smiling. I think they do it on purpose.

better a serious face than run and scream like my younger ds does. On the rare occiasion he will pose.

Your sister will understand that is the part of having kids in the bridal party. At my wedding there were very few posed pics of my niece with a smile, but some great candids
