Not dialated at 37 weeks, anyone?
Has anyone been completely not dialated at 37 weeks, & still went into labor on time? Hoping for an all-natural L&D, but nervous that I'm not dialated yet (although I have a feeling it'll still be fine).

I havent gone into labor yet but 2 weeks ago at my 37 week appt I wasnt dilated at all, last week at 38 weeks I was 3 cm, today is my 39 week appt and I'm praying there's some progress.....u can go from 0 to 10 very quickly or very slowly...you still have a few weeks ahead of you.

I had nada at over 37w - I go tomorrow for my 38w appt - but I will be 38w 3d and I am hoping for something but we shall see
I am going to keep working and keep walking to see if I can help myself and my Dr told me to have wild

With DD I had NOTHING going on until 39 weeks. Even then, only a finger tip dialated. Its still early...

Thx, ladies! I'm not terribly concerned yet, but just hope that I'm starting to "get ready" by my next appt. Fingers crossed.

Me! I wasn't dilated - or effaced - until the day I went into labor! I had my 40w appt a few days prior to my DD and showed no progress. My OB scheduled an induction for 2w out, just in case.
I went into labor and delivered my daughter naturally, on my exact DD

With my first, I had nothing at all even at my 38 week appt, well...I never made it to my 39 week...delivered on that day!
You never know! My sis in law was due the same week, and was dilated, and everything lloked as though she was going to go...never did and was late!

I was 1cm dialated for about 7 weeks. Trust me, dialation can happen and/or progress at anytime!

One just never knows...everyone is so different.
I was 1-2cm dilated from 36 weeks on...and had to be induced at 40w6d.
I know people who were not dilated at all at the end and went into labor on their own.

I was not dialted at all at 37 or 38 weeks. I was starting to efface though. My water broke at 38.5 weeks and DS was born the next day. Anything can happen!

Nothing at 36 and was hoping to hear some good news this week at 38 weeks.....but NOTHING. He said exactly the same as 2 weeks ago. ROAR!

It definitely can move fast. I was nothing at 41 weeks and had the baby the next day

I am 37 weeks tomorrow and when I went to the dr yesterday I was not dilated at all. However, I came home and had my "bloody show" late last night. All day today I've been "crampy". I don't go back until next Wednesday so we'll see what he says. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Thanks for your thoughts, everyone! Def helpful! I just had another checkup (38.5 weeks) & still, my cervix is long & thick...no progress! Ugh! I had to read everyone's posts again to remind myself that it can all happen quickly. I'm just hoping to go naturally, & when my doc mentioned induction if I make it to 41 weeks, I kinda freaked out. Oye!

Don't stress. I am 39 weeks and have been 3cm dilated for 8 days now! So being dilated isn't a sign that labor is right around the corner, either!
