Not clapping/banging things together
My almost 10mo old doesn't clap or bang things together, We just recently (last two weeks) introduced clapping and banging together...but he shows no interest. Has anyone else experienced this? Should I be worried? He's waving selectively...but only when he feels like doing it. Am I being neurotic?

Re: Not clapping/banging things together
My almost 11-month-old DD has no interest in clapping. She's done it, but she won't do it if you ask her to, and she usually won't imitate it. I'm not too concerned, but maybe I should be! She bangs things together like a maniac though.

Re: Not clapping/banging things together
My son first clapped and waved at 10 1/2 months... now he does it all the time. He takes his own time on everything because he just studies everything before he takes it on himself (like his daddy!).
The doc was just mainly concerned that he was mimicking play more than clapping/waving specifically, which he was doing with other things (itsty, bitsy spider song, shaking head, etc.)
