Norwegian Jewel: Cribs?
Does anyone know if they have regular full-sized cribs on board & not PNP's? DS will be 2 and is way too big for a PNP, but isn't ready for a bed yet. Our travel agent told us that it should be a full size crib, but I'm nervous - I've heard of people thinking that, but getting PNPs instead. Thanks

we sailed the jewel last year and they did provide cribs. they are the metal cribs and are not the full size cribs we have home. they are the same size cribs his daycare has. ds was 8 months old and hated it.. he slept btwn dh and i. we used the crib as a clothes hanger lol

We went on the Norwegian Dawn in October 2009 the day after DD turned 2. I am not sure what it is exactly, but DD fit in it no problem. It took up the entire 2nd bedroom in our suite, so it was pretty big.

We went on Carnival and they had a full sized crib. But they also said that if they run out of cribs, they give you a pnp. Just make sure in your booking that you ask for a crib, it'll put your name on 'the list'.

Thanks for your replies! I hope that they've replaced the metal ones w/the big ones like they have on the Dawn (although I'm sure that they haven't).
We did a cruise w/Celebrity last year & he had a playard that dipped in the middle - it was terrible. He slept in it, but it didn't look so good. He's too tall for PNP's now so I'm happy to hear NCL will have some type of an actual crib for us to try

Thanks Janine Our TA has been swearing we're on "the list" so I'm hoping we'll luck out, but we just booked it 2 weeks ago & the sail date is in Oct. so the list is prob pretty long already 
ETA: What did you think of Carnival? I haven't sailed with them in about 10 years so I'm sure things are different now! Was it a fun trip? :)

When we got there, there was no crib in our room, but the steward asked if we needed it. He took care of it. I'm sure the list is not that long...how many babies are on a cruise, you know?
We had fun on Carnival-it's all about how you make the trip for yourself. The kids loved it!
