north shore hospital doctors

i'm just curious to know,which doctor is the best in the practice..and how many tries they had to do ivf before they got pregnant??I,ve been through 2 ivf doctors and 3 failed cycles and don't have the funds for a awhile..so i am doing some research on new a newe re....

I love Dr herslag. I did 1 IVF cycle and am in my 7th of pregnancy with a boy!!

Have you tried Dr. Chu? A lot of ladies here have used her.

My friend used Dr. Brenner, but I don't think he is with NSUH.

I have seen all the Doctors in the practice and I liked all of them. I wouldn't particularly say that any one of them is "better" than the other. They all work together as a team. I was very happy there, I am 12 weeks pregnant following my 2nd IVF cycle at NSUH.

This has been my experience - and I've been doing this for three years now

There are some really bad RE's in general. Where if you have any problem that is out of the ordinary they are going to be useless. IMO, RSNY is one of these - some people have had success, but these are usually people with a minimum of problems.

The others do the best they can with what they have to work with. My current RE (Kenigsberg @ LIIVF) has been honest and upfront with me. Not that there haven't been problems along the way. But, I went for a second and third opinion while I'm on a little break and both Drs. told me they would have use the same protocol with me. So, I am staying with the Dr. who knows me as opposed to starting all over. IMO, he knows my history and me and because we have some history together he is much more understanding.

I'm not excusing total neglect of an RE's office. I'm just saying that just because an IVF cycle isn't successful doesn't mean it's the Drs. fault.
I've been through 6 IVF cycles with Dr. K...but my age and problems are the cause of the failures, not his incompetence.

I have seen Dr. Rosenfeld, Dr. Chu and Dr. Cohen at North Shore for surgeries and IUIs. They are all excellent doctors and to be honest, more than likely share the same ideologies and protocols in practice. They cover each other's patients and consider them "shared". Some have expertise in surgery, IVF, egg/sperm donor. You can request a consult with any of them.

I primarily saw Dr. Chu and I really liked her. I also saw Dr. Rosenfeld & Dr. Cohen.

I use Dr. Scholl and am totally happy with him! I have a beautiful 22 month old boy and am 6 weeks pg!!!

Dr. Rosenfeld did my Lapro. He was written up in alot of mags and newspapers. He's supposed to be one of the best RE's.

Dr Chu is my primary doctor but I've seen all of the doctors on staff there. HOnestly they were all very nice to me.
