We love Ruby's Cove in Greenport. It's right off of the main road and it's only a few steps to the restaurants and shops. You can also walk to the Shelter Island ferry. Donna (the owner) is a sweetheart and has bikes that she lets you use. We like to stay in the Madeline room. The house has a great vibe and I feel so comfortable when I'm there. I have no problem going down to breakfast in my pjs and the two times I have been there, I have fallen asleep in one of the chairs in the living room!

Yep! And I forgot--they had a wine tasting at the b&b on Saturday evening. It was cute--they had some wine and cheese.

I also thought the people were there were really cool...some of my friends said that they went to b&bs and thought it was "awkward." I didn't feel like that at all there..that might just be my personality though...I don't feel funny interacting with people I don't know.

Shinn Estates. It is a beautiful B&B and one of the only ones actually on a vineyard. Breakfasts are delish!

Re: North Fork Weekend

DH and I are not B&B fans - so we love the Harborfront Inn - it's in the village of Greenport - we go every year.
