Re: North Bellmore school district?
I was in N. Bellmore schools from 3rd-12th grade and I went to Mepham. I thought I received a great education and they have a great academic reputation. I graduated 10 years ago but most people I am acquainted with from there have college degrees and a lot of post-graduate degrees. My sister actually is a per-diem sub in the district and is there all the time and I haven't heard anything negative from her.

Re: North Bellmore school district?
I live in N. Bellmore. As a realtor, I cannot comment on "good" or "bad" when it comes to school districts, as that is subjective. But that being said - I have a 2 year old who will be in N. Bellmore schools in a few years, and I researched the schools before I bought (at the time, I wasn't a realtor).
I do a lot of work in N. Bellmore, too, as my office is based here, and I have a lot of info about the entire school district. N. Bellmore is really just an elementary school district (there are 6 elementary schools). Then it's Bellmore-Merrick Central School District for middle and high school, but N. Bellmore goes to Grand Ave. Middle (along with south Bellmore), and then those who live in N. Bellmore go to Mepham, as you already knew.
Feel free to have your friend contact me if she has specific questions. All of my contact info is in the business directory, and I would be happy to provide more info.
