NOOOO!!!! Life on Mars...
has been cancelled!!  I'm so depressed, I LOVE this show.
Well, now with some more time on his hands, maybe Jason O'Mara wants to come over and hang out with me.

I HATE that the networks get me into a show!
I HATE that they change the night of the show!
I HATE that they cancel the show!
How about getting rid of some of the CSI's or the Law and Order shows??

If they want to cancel a show fine. but can they at least give us a real ending. I mean wrap everything up nicely like they did with Jericho. I hate when they just end a show.

Oh damn it, I really like this show and I just started watching it a few weeks ago.

Got this online, at least they'll have the rest of the season to wrap things up unlike Swingtown...
ABC has canceled Life on Mars, but will allow the cop drama to complete its full one-season run. The network has opted not to extend the series beyond 17 episodes, according to Variety.
It's not all bad news, though. Rather than wait until May when on-the-bubble shows are typically told whether or not they'll be renewed or canceled, ABC told the producers now, so that they can plan for a proper series finale — a courtesy not extended to the recently unplugged ABC shows Pushing Daisies, Dirty Sexy Money and Eli Stone. "We felt it was the right thing to do for the producers and the fans and creatively," ABC Entertainment Group President Steve McPherson told TelevisionWeek. Calls to ABC were not yet returned.
This is particularly important for Mars, as its mysterious premise — an NYPD cop is hit by a car and spontaneously time-travels back to 1973 — requires some explaining. Is Sam Tyler (Jason O'Mara) in a coma, at the mercy of supernatural forces or something else entirely?
For now, it seems, the fans will get that answer.
Did Life on Mars deserve the ax? Is ABC getting an itchy trigger finger on the cancellation front? And how would you like to see the series end?

I love this show!!
What I don't understand is that it got a REALLY good time slot (after LOST), let it pick up the rating from being after LOST.
We really like this show....

ABC suuuuuucks. They did NOT promote this show. They spent more time and money promoting the new show Castle - where was that for LOM??????
It's such a good show too - even with the sci-fi-ness. I am so bummed. I'm glad they're wrapping it up though.

My mom is devestated!! She LIVES for this show.
It makes me mad that they continue to take off different shows..lets leave on 100 law and orders, csi's, and reality shows but take off anything thats different. It makes no sense! Now I am upset that I wont see the action in the neighborhood anymore.
