No smiles/coos from almost 2 month old - do I worry yet??
Ok I THINK I got a real smile (not a gas one) yesterday, but other than that.....nothing. No little baby coos or smiles, as every website seems to suggest should happen at this stage......
any experience?
I really try to make him laugh or smile, too....I've gone to great lengths!

I personally would talk to the ped. If he/she isn't concerned then there is no need to worry.

I had the same issue. I spoke to the ped and she said if the baby didn't smile by 3 months they would send us to a neurologist. The day after I spoke to the ped he smiled. And he hasn't stopped smiling since then. Good luck!

Bring it up with your ped at your next visit but personally, I wouldn't worry just yet. Both my kids didn't smile a real smile until 2.5 months.
