No one issuing Flood Insurance?
I'm not sure how true this is, but my husband called for a quote for flood insurance and he was told that no insurance company is issuing flood insurance because the government won't allow them. I find this hard to believe and I wanted to know if anyone is running into any problems with this. We can't move forward with the closing if we don't have flood insurance.

It's true congress hasn't signed the bill yet, so it keeps getting extended, but the entension expired on May 31st, so no renewals or new business can be processed until congress does something.

That sucks...I am so sorry for you, but its true.
Its part of the FEMA National Flood Insurance Program...Here is a link to their page. Apparently they have some FAQ's somewhere that you might be able to use.

Re: No one issuing Flood Insurance?
We've been dealing with so many setbacks and trying desperately to close by June 30th. It's just so frustrating

Re: No one issuing Flood Insurance?
It kind of makes me wonder if they are stalling on purpose so they dont have to issue the credits to people...that sucks

The extension has been going on for a couple of months now, it's just not at the top of their to do list, but what is LOL It's usually extended for 30 days, but they meet again next week I think so it will most likely be extended again.
