Re: no bacon?
Maybe bc of nitrates, like hot dogs? I have had it though through out my pregnancy. But except for raw fish and unpasturized cheese I have had everything in moderation lol

Re: no bacon?
i eat bacon like once a week... i try to get the nitrate free but if i get a cobb salad at a restaurant i'm sure its the "bad" kind. agree that its everything in moderation. big no-nos are sushi, deli meats and soft cheeses.

Re: no bacon?
Trader Joes sells nitrate free bacon. I usually get that to avoid the nitrates. I do eat "regular" bacon tho in moderation.

Re: no bacon?
I eat bacon maybe 2x a month, I don't recall seeing it on the "no eat" list. I'm sure it's in fine in moderation.

Re: no bacon?
My dr says everything in moderation including sushi and deli meats. I think no bacon is a bit extreme, but to each their own.

My doc says cooked deli meats are fine- i.e. ham and turkey. Although Ihave had salami and such as well which is supposed to be a "no no". Stil lhavent figured out if salami etc is a no no bc of nitrates or because of the danger of listeria. IN either case, i say use common sense and moderation and you shall be fine =)
