No - Ovulation?

so started going to RSofNy after trying to conceieve solo for almost 2 years, I am 37. Clinic tested me on day 3, everything was normal, put me on clomid, went back on day 10 - had 3 follies, I did 3 different ovulation tests a day to check to see when I was ovulating, one test said I did ovulate for 2 days, the other 2 said I did not. Should I ask my RE to test me now to see if I did ovulate? I am so confused.....I did a crazy amount of blood work too last Thursday and the test results have not come back, between this and not knowing if I really ovulated, I am at a loss of what to do.

p.s. last g-friend that got marrried 2 years after I did, just announced she is prego after 3 months of trying...I really am the last woman standing with no kids now :(

OPKs dont tell you if you ovulated, they only tell you when you are having an LH surge. the only way to tell if you are ovulating (without a doctor) is to temp. did you have the bloodwork done before or after the time you thought you would ovulate?
secondly, why is RSofNY not monitoring you and giving you a trigger shot to make sure you do ovulate?? you really should say something to your RE or switch to an RE that will confirm the meds are working with constant monitoring. theres no point in being on a protocol if you have to be the one worrying if its working. that should be the REs job.

I go to RSof NY. I found the ovulation kits didn't work for me so I switched to going in for daily blood work to see when I was surging. It was a HUGE pain in the neck but I felt comfortable knowing that I would not miss my window off opportunity. I did 3 IUI's. THe first one with the ovulation kit at home-no pregnancy. Second one, daily blood work when we got close to ovulation-pregnant but ended in miscarriage. Third IUI, daily blood work again-pregnant. Now maybe it's conincidence that I didn't get pregnant that first time and it wasn't meant to be, but looking back I don't think I was really ovulating when we did the IUI. I hate peeing on the sticks-lol!
Im 8 1/2 weeks now and things are going MUCH better this time. For this last IUI, I had the trigger shot and was scheduled to do it Sunday night if my blood work didn't show a surge that day but it did so I didn't end up doing the shot. Talk to them about your options. I did NOT want to use the ovulation kits because I swore they didn't work for me and they were fine with that. Good luck!

Thanks so much for posting ladies, I had pC issues so I was not able to reply earlier, I ended up calling RSofNy and they had me come in to test me again to see if my levels went up, they did, so now its just the waiting game. Plan B is to have them check my daily with blood tests to see when my LH surge goes up with an IUI.

FYI - My insurance only covers 'testing' for infertility but does not cover my 'cycle'....so any advice or help given in thi snew proces is truly appreciated by my husband and myself since everything is out of pocket for us!
