There were a few reasons why with the main reasons being I like the collection bag that Viacord uses better (its the only FDA approved collection bag) and I like how they process it better! Viacord uses Sepax while CBR uses AXP. CBR and only one other company uses AXP while ALL others use the Sepax. AXP has also had some recalls in the past few years. i also like that Viacord is constantly doing research in the field where CBR isn't.
I'm sure BOTH companies are fantastic but after talking with my doctor and going to the conference my DH and I are really happy with our decision

I thought CBR's bags were FDA approved also.
I am still trying to decide who to use myself  only 33 days!! But my Dr's office keeps the CBR kits in their office (though my Dr actually tries to talk me out of doing it at all). He says to put it toward a college fund!
I don't know the benefits of using AXP vs. Sepax (or vice versa)...did they explain?
Also - Why does it matter that they do research? Maybe that's what makes them more expensive Would their customers benefit first from any new findings?
Also I don't know who to trust bc both companies bad mouth eachother (which I hate)...Like viacord did tell me about the CBR bag recall - but I believe it was a voluntary recall.

i was actually surprised but Viacord NEVER once badmouthed any other company today! when i was talking with my doctor privately he's the one who told me about the recall and how and why he personally likes Viacord better! Their office also carries CBR kits and like I said I originally had signed up with them. It wasn't until I started to question things that my dr put in his 2 cents. I can't believe your doc tried to talk you out of it Its funny how so many drs are so different! when I started to think about not doing it due to the expense- it was my doc who convinced me of it!!
I did get $300 off for being at the conference but i have a coupon for $250 off Viacord if you decide to go with them. It expires on 1-16
It really is soooo confusing, I'm sure you can't go wrong with either company!
