Re: PLEASE HELP - Need help with getting a NIC Band covered by insurance
I used to work in med insurance, so I know what they are doing.
Basically before goign forward in any regards, you need to have them change what was written " the need for the helmet in treating hydro..."....YOu need to get a drs letter describing your sons head shape in a medical term, and with some diagnosis that supports it being anything other then cosmetic.
Submit THAT for approval to the insurance.
The way it stands now, a matter of wording will get it denied.
We could NOT change medical terminology once submitted, so the claim will be denied simply b/c of the wording at this point.
FM me if you need more hel;p /advice etc...I can probably help you with more behind the scences stuff.
But first you need a medical diagnosis and you should re submit the claim for pre approval for a different diagnosis that we can find info on TO SUPPORT the usage of the helmet.
Hope that all makes sense.
Good luck to you and hugs for all your going through
