Nissan Pathfinder
Does anyone have this car? I saw that it has three rows....how is the third row...is it really small??
I am not pregnant now, but do eventually want a third, if not a fourth as well (and god willing this will come true for us) so I want to find a car that will accomodate all of us.
Can you put a carseat in the back row? Would you recommend this car? Thanks!

Re: Nissan Pathfinder
Sorry for crashing, but I have a Pathfinder. It does have the third row seating, but it's on the small side. We squeeze two adults back there sometimes. I don't have kids so I don't know if a carseat would fit back there. I don't even know how safe that is. I would imagine it would be safer to put the older kids back there and the car seats in the middle row, but I'm no expert.
The truck is roomy and has some nice features, like a back up cam, Boses sound system, etc. When my lease is up I'd get another one if we are lucky enough to have kids by then. You should test drive it and take it from there, or maybe even rent one for a week.
If your main thing is lots of room, the Armada is much bigger so that's something you may want to consider as well.

Re: Nissan Pathfinder
My ford explorer has a 3rd row that is pretty roomy. Could def. fit car seats. We have car seats in the second row and the bigger kids sit in the back.

Re: Nissan Pathfinder
I don't have the pathfinder but we just purchased the new Honda Pilot. It has 3 rows. I love it! They changed the model for 2009 and it is has a lot more room than the previous years. The 3 rd row gives u a good amount of leg room and is comfy.

Re: Nissan Pathfinder
I have a pathfinder and fit 2 adults comfortably in the 3rd row, however you have NO trunk space when the 3rd row is up...
Its great to have, but I couldnt see using it regulary...
ETA- when I go for #3 the pathfinder will become my DH's and I will either get an Armada or a minivan
I love the truck!!!

Re: Nissan Pathfinder
It's also a bit difficult to enter the third row. I wouldn't rec using it on a regular basis.
Safety is also an issue. God forbid something happened, and you needed to get passengers out quickly, it's not that easy in the 3rd row.
Also, like the pp said, there is no trunck space left w/ the 3rd row up. I don't even think my stroller would fit w/ the third row up, let alone all the "just in case" stuff I have in my trunk
I consider the 3rd row a once in a while option but not for every day use.

Re: Nissan Pathfinder
I have the Nissan Murano and my brother has the Nissan Pathfinder. While he doesn't use the third row often - as previous posters said it's not easy to climb all the way back there - here have been times where we had the infant seat and 2 adults in the second row and 2 adults in the 3rd row to go to dinner (rather than taking multiple cars). We don't use the third row often but it's great to have. I love the Pathfinder.

Re: Nissan Pathfinder
Thanks everyone....just trying to explore my options....I really wouldn't want to put a carseat in the way back either, but I am not sure if my oldest son will be out of a carseat (booster type seat) by that time.
