Nicknames?

Do you have a nickname?

I have had one since 6. I usually will respond to my first name, but I also respond to this nickname “lemon.” If they also say “lem”, then I respond as well.

It kind of developed growing up and all my friends had similar names, so we had to distinguish from each other.

I also couldn’t spell my last name (long Polish name) in 2nd grade and the teacher would just call me Lemon. Looking back, that’s a horrible thing to do.

My name is Pam and my husband calls me Elloweese. And yes, when he writes it that's the way he spells it.

Phyl, MeeMee (my nephew and nieces call me this so the family calls me that when talking to them about me) , Ans DH calls me Di. The end of my maiden name is Dini - so it went from dini to Di

My given name is Susanne, pronounced the German way Soo-saa-neh. Americanized it is Suzanne.
I am not Susan or Sue.

Only my husband and it's not all the time. He calls me punkin (pumpkin) because I was born on Halloween.

the first word(s) i said was "ta-ta," so my parents called me that for the longest.

my maternal grandmother and a cousin call me libby, pronounced in spanish "leebee." i mentioned this to SO and he picked up the baton. he calls me libby. SO then gave me a last name... libowitz. so, i'm libby libowitz... if i ever need a pen name, this will be it!

SO also calls me "monkey bones"... it morphed from one day that he made fun of my thick, curly hair. i said i was a "hairy monkey" and he turned it into "monkey bones."
