Nick Lachey: I’ll Raise My Son in Ohio

Nick Lachey has a successful career in Hollywood, but the singer says that when his 7-month-old son Camden gets a little older, he and his wife Vanessa will permanently relocate to his hometown of Cincinnati.

“I’ve never embraced the idea of raising my kid in L.A.,” says Lachey, 39, who, like many celebrities, currently lives there. “I want to move back home in a few years when Camden starts school. Vanessa and I share a common understanding that family is the most important thing and we both appreciate the idea of raising our kids around their grandparents and cousins.”

Those relatives will certainly be close by: Lachey already owns a home in the Queen City — and it’s right next door to the house where his brother (and 98 Degrees bandmate) Drew and his wife are raising their two children.

“I can’t wait till [our kids] are running through the woods together like Drew and I used to,” he says. “It’s going to be a lot of fun to watch them grow up together!”

In the meantime, he’s got work to focus on: Lachey just released an album of lullabies, “A Father’s Lullaby,” inspired by the birth of his son, and this summer, he’ll reunite with his 98 Degrees bandmates for a national tour with New Kids on the Block and Boyz II Men.

“For all the groups, we did the math and we’ve got 30 kids combined!” he says. ”It’ll be a different kind of tour than it was 12 years ago, but it will be more special to share it with our families.”

And in the next two years or so, Lachey says he and Vanessa may be adding one more to the baby count.

“We’ve definitely talked about having more than one and having one has only strengthened that,” he says. “But my brother and I are almost three years apart, so I thought that was a nice age difference. So maybe in a bit!”

I agree, He will be happy in Ohio but I don't know if Vanessa will be.

Yeah, but really how much time will they really be spending in Ohio?? We all know those 2 can't go 3 weeks without a vacation somewhere
