NEWSDAY
Who gets NEWSDAY delivered to their house? I got something in the mail for home delivery, and the paper said I was saving money and it was $5.00 a week, but how is that a savings? If the paper costs $.50 monday through saturday and $1.50 on sunday, that comes to $4.50 a week. How am I saving money?
The good thing about it is you get a $100 gift certificate to macys 60 days after you sign up now.....
Do you think I should sign up for it? Scott

Re: NEWSDAY
You are getting the paper delivered right at your home and that's a plus. And if you are getting the certificate, even better. I'd would.

Re: NEWSDAY
Scott are you sure it's only $1.50 for Sunday's paper? Maybe it's $2? I have home delivery 7 days a week, I just don't remember the prices LOL! I LOVE home delivery!! Every morning I grab my paper on my way to work and then every weekend I just walk out my door and grab the paper and sit and have my coffee/breakfast. It's so nice.
Newsday.com listed the gift certificate choices and their codes as: KING KULLEN: Enter 97K MACY'S: Enter 97M P.C. RICHARD: Enter 97P SLEEPY'S: Enter 97SL STAPLES: Enter 97ST
So you could even get $$ towards your groceries They didn't offer anything like that when I subscribed LOL! Oh I also have credit card billing so each month its automatically deducted from my checking account so I don't even have to worry about the bill.

Re: NEWSDAY
We only get it on Sundays. I generally read it online during the week and as it is, with the Sunday Newsday and the Sunday Times, I can barely keep up with the recycling.
If you think you will read it every day, it sounds like a good deal. Even if it is the same price, you have the convenience of getting it delivered.

It's $1.50 Now I have to decide which coupon I want - Which would you choose? The groceries are good but I dont like King Kullen - Too expensive and the MAcys one is good because we are going to need stuff for our new house.....Hmmmm Scott

Re: NEWSDAY
We get it delivered 7 days a week. I tried to cancel it and get it delivered just on the weekends. That would have cost me more then I am paying for the 7 days a week!

I think 7 days a week or 5 days a week. I dont think you get the CG if it's only weekend delivery - but you can check that out at Newsday.com - under subscription services

Humm...I don't like KK either - too much $. macys is good especially if you had a bridal registry there and can complete your registry (they usually give a discount on remaining registry items). I would probably go with Macy's or PC Richards (we just bought a new stove and microwave and the GC would have been useful).

Re: NEWSDAY
My brother has delivery and for the past 6 years has only paid $1.50 a week for the entire 7 day week. Six years ago he wanted to only get Sunday delivery because he "gets the paper at work" in reality he leaves very early in the morning before it is delivered. Well, Newsday said they would throw in Mon-Sat for free so he gets it 7 days a week but only pays for Sunday.
