newborns choking toward end of bottle?
We stop regularly when feeding him the bottle to burp him... He's fine through most of the bottle. Towards the end it seems like he starts to choke on the bottle. His sucking does not appear to slow up before it indicating he's full...
what do we do to prevent choking?
- I was starting to think maybe he had acid reflux- but he was born into NICU for 10 days, and they specifically said he didnt have it(when i asked if we should have him sleep on an incline)

Re: newborns choking toward end of bottle?
Is he beginning to doze off at the end? If so hes probable sucking but not swallowing, so the milk/formula is sitting in his mouth.. then choking. My did this with the breast and now occasionally with bottle. I started to keep an eye on the bottle at how close to the end it would start happening. When I figured out when it was happening I started pulling bottle out at about that time, and now were good.
