Newborn Photoshoot Question

I have been contacting some vendors to find out their pricing and if they are willing to travel to us in Brooklyn.

Many of these vendors are nice about it, but are not willing to travel outside of Long Island at all.

I contacted a few that I like who are already located within NYC, but some of their prices are ridiculous! I like Emily Burke, who works in NYC and her session fee is reasonable, $200 but to pay for pics, the cheapest package is $900

I really REALLY love Anne Hack. I want her to do my pics so bad but DH only agreed to do the newborn shoot if it happened in our home. I don't blame him, i don't want to take a newborn out in the middle of winter to take some pics - i can't justify it.

Anne seems like she is willing to work with me..so we'll see.

My question, does she also charge seperately for pictures? or does her session fee include pics as well? I don't actually need harcopy pics, a CD would be fine.

Have you tried to contact Gina Marie Photography? She travels all the time and is much closer to Brooklyn than Anne is (Gina is central Nassau where Anne is Eastern Suffolk).

Yes, her package includes the pictures. I know because I booked her. Ask her to send you the word document with the breakdown of what you will get.

Does she know your due date? She's pregnant and I believe she told me yesterday that her cut off for newborn shoots is late October.

She's in suffolk and her fee includes all images edited. She sends a link with a password which allows you to all images in hi res

Anne is really good, but I know she's not doing newborns I think 0ct- Feb was the initial cutoff she gave me.

Her prices are really reasonable and include the online gallery where you download the hi resolution pics for printing on your own.

Gina Marie and Katie Burnett also had good prices.

she does sell pics but they are not required like some photographers make u buy a minimum & a CD of all the pics is only $25. .. but u can just save them off of her online gallery if you wish and not pay for the CD

There is a company called Fox Cubs...that is a part of Silverfox (which I know a lot of girls used on LIW for their weddings). Fox Cubs focuses on maternity shoots, and newborn, and childhood shoots. I know for sure they do BK because one of the photogs (DH best friend) lives in BK and will travel to you for the shoot. And their prices are really reasonable. I will be using them for both my maternity and newborn shoot. You can look up the page on FB too.

I reached out to Anne last week and she said she will not be doing newborn shoots after September.

Thanks for all the responses ladies. Anne was willing to do our photoshoot but her travel fee would have been astronomical because the distance would have been to far from her, although she did not mention she would not do the session at all.
I actually booked with another photographer, Amy Jocelyn Photography, on another LIF'ers reccomendation and Dh 7 I loved her work and her prices were very reasonable.

Amy jocelyn does great newborns also! A friend of mine used her and the pictures are awesome! You made a good choice!
