Newborn Photos
Really want to get newborn photos. Since this is my 1st i have no idea the cost or time frame. If anyone doesnt mind sharing-
who they used & loved
how old are the pictures done at? when do you book?
how much $$ package?

I e-mailed several photographers. Peaprint, Michelle McFadden, ElleBebe etc..
I found that for the price ElleBebe was the most reasonable and I love her pictures. I believe for the shoot and pictures on a CD it comes to $250. I am due July 8th, and e-mailed her last week, that I definitely want to use her. I've been lazy with sending out the deposit ($50). The pictures are usually done within week or two of the baby being born.

I will also be using ElleBebe Photography.
Even though she is up & coming - her pictures are breathtaking! And she is soo reasonable & it includes the CD of pictures. Most other photographers charge you separately for the sitting & for the CD &/or prints.

Im using Christine Melissa... I am obsessed with her... I hear nothing but wonderful things from the people that work with her and her pictures speak for themselves... Im really excited to use her! I cant wait!
She charges one price for the sitting and then she has a minimum order and it can be a la carte or a package that she has, its your choice. Im due July 1st and I booked her already. The sitting price is the deposit, which I felt was pretty high but I wasnt going to argue... So i just paid it... Shes kind of popular and I feel she is reasonably priced for that popularity. I mean shes going to be a little bit more than an up and comer BUT she isnt on the high end of the really high end photographers... I was finding high end photographers that wanted THOUSANDS of dollars! I was shocked...
I emailed a few people to feel them out as well. Because its not just about pictures, but about personality... And about trusting someone with your precious newborn... You want to make sure you trust them and feel comfortable with them... I felt that way about Christine instantly from her first reply...

I used Christine Melissa with DS#1 and she was still building her portfolio so I paid nothing. Her work was exceptional and she was very good with DS.
I am using her again for DS#2 but of course now that she is very popular her prices are high. I'm not going to lie. They are expensive but she does do great work.
I use another photographer Melissa Murphy for 6 month, Christmas and 1 year photos though. She is just as good with kids and her photos are great and her prices are more reasonable.

I just want to say Im due February 13th and Jen (ELLEBEBE) was able to fit me in her schedule, I only contacted her yesterday!!! I cant wait to work with her. I used another photographer in the past but unfortunately she is way over my budget at this time.

I am using Elizabeth Kristin. I absolutely love her and her work, she did my BPics and I was extremely happy with them. I am on her calendar for around my due date but that can certainly change. She said she will come usually like 7-10 days after the baby is born. She said not to wait too long since a babies skin can get bad after like 2 weeks old. Her rates are extremely reasonable...
