New mommy here

So I was just wondering how much a newborn should sleep. MY little angel sleeps all day and has been sleeping throughout the night (she just gets up for feedings) IS this too much sleep?????

Re: New mommy here

Welcome and congrats!

I think that is pretty typical in the beginning, it will change but I remember DD really just woke up for feedings and diaper changes.

Re: New mommy here

DS slept a lot when he was little. around 3 weeks he had some trouble going back to sleep at night but once we started swadddling him that went away.

Re: New mommy here

Congrats!!!!!

My dd was like that the first week or so and then started waking up a little more.

As long as she has enough pee and poopy diapers then let her tell you when she needs to eat and sleep!!!

As long as she is eating & going through diapers, it's ok. Newborns sleep a lot in the beginning.

Re: New mommy here

Hi Kenz! Everything sounds normal- enjoy all her sleep! Ashley still naps a few times per day, but the time she's awake between naps has increased a lot. Sometimes it's hard to do things while she's awake, so take advantage of all the sleeping that Marley is doing! :)
