New Jersey
I know we have a couple of people from Jersey here. I want to look into real estate there, but I have NO idea what areas are good and bad. What areas are nice, but not too expensive? I think we would like to stay in Northern NJ.

Well....we live in Bergen County...which is pretty close to the city...easy for family to get to from LI. (about 60 miles from my parents in Holbrook). I live in Elmwood Park. If you have any questions, please feel free to FM me.

I was born and raised in Passaic County.
There are a lot of nice areas in northern NJ. Morris County is nice too.

I'm from Central Jersey too! Where are you from?
I grew up in Princeton, which is a beautiful area, but as far as I can tell just as expensive if not more than Long Island.

come live near me  (I'm in Dunellen - near Piscataway, Edison, Watchung, Bridgewater)
Depends on where you want to live - do you need to be near a train? I take the train to the city for work and door to door it is a 1.5 hr commute. But I LOVE my neighborhood and it's very affordable & friendly.
