Re: New Hope Pa
I wish I could respond that I've been there and give you feedback - my SIL's friend used to live there and talked so great about it. I've always wanted to go. If you do go, please let me know how it is, and have a great time.

Re: New Hope Pa
I live in philly so I've been there many, MANY times. It's an absolutely ADORABLE town, which many surrounding towns (i.e. Lambertville, Frenchtown, etc) that are equally as cute. After DH and I came back from our lame honeymoon in Israel (where he's from - we spent most of our time in his mother's apartment!) I felt like we deserved a nice weekend away so I booked the most beautiful B&B out there for the weekend... we had plenty to do for the weekend, but I could imagine that it might get a little boring after 3 days.
We stayed at the Woolverton Inn (www.woolvertoninn.com) which is rated as the best B&B in the US, and let me tell you, it lives up to its reputation - it was FABULOUS. If you're looking at other B&B's - let me know - I'm familiar with most of the B&B's in the area.

Re: New Hope Pa
I LOVE that place!
My DH and I have been there a few times! The first time we stayed at a small motel. It was inexpensive but old. Another time we went we stayed at a B&B in Lambertville, NJ (which is right over the river from New Hope)
The WHOLE area is beautiful!
all the times we have gone, we went in October for our anniversary, which is a very busy time down there. We did a ghost walk...where we took a tour that brought is from house to house and told us ghost stories...ti was fantastic and scary!
I think during the summer its easier to get rooms than in the fall.
There is GREAt shopping in town as well as Peddlers Village,,,which is about a 10-15 min drive.
Hope that helps.
Let me know if you have any questions!

Re: New Hope Pa
We have been there for the day on the way to Philly and we loved it-- we keep meaning to go back and spend some time there-- There are lots of shops-- and then there is also Lambertville. I think a nice long weekend would be perfect.
