New here
I'm new here. Been lurking for a while. I've been TTC for 18 months. I have a son that's 4. DH and I finally we to a RE in April and I was diagnosed with PCOS. I did 1 month of clomid and an IUI and it didn't work. I cannot afford to see the RE anymore because my co-pays are 50 dollars and I'm there sometimes 4 times a week. With meds it costed us about 800 dollars for the month. Do any of you girls with PCOS know of any other options to conceive naturally?? I really want another baby so bad, and I feel like it will never happen for us. I'm also having a hard time with weight. I gained about 40 pounds in 2 1/2 years and I'm so upset that it won't come off no matter how good I eat and how many times I go to the gym. I also tried metformin but stopped taking it because it made me really sick. Any advice is much appreciated

Re: New here
Welcome. Metformin is a beast of a medication, I have had to put aside how sick it makes me if I ever want this to happen. Just another price to pay, IMO. As for PCOS and "natural" remedies, you can try Fertliblend or chasteberry, those are 2 herbal things that come to mind. I'm surprised that you had so many visits at the RE...what were you taking and where were you going? You may have more options elsewhere...

Re: New here
im not sure if this can help you but have u had your thyroid checked? i know its not hand in hand with pcos but if there are any endocrine issues it can make ttc much harder.
