Re: New Dr's Office Changed My CS Date without asking me
Is it before week 39 now? I'd def be annoyed with that, but I don't really think many of us wind up with the date we choose. I had the choice of w, th or f of week 39. If they're overbooked I wouldn't want to be scheduled for that day unless in was first or second.

No, I wouldn't insist on keeping the original date. You will see...in the scheme of things it is NOTHING.
My date was changed with #3. There were two dates available. I chose 10/22...it was a Friday, only one of my DDs would have been in school, my DH wouldn't have to take any days off to spend in the hospital, more visitors (I like visitors!), etc. In other words, it just worked out better.
Well, two weeks later I got a letter in the mail changing it to 10/26...my DC even went from a Libra to a Scorpio! At the time 4 days seemed like 4 weeks and I guess there was a little more juggling. But, honestly, who cares...little guy is 16 months old now and the last thing I've ever thought about is which date on which he was born.
Also, most women don't get to choose anything...the baby gets that honor.

It's exactly at 39,but I know the due date is just an estimate, so I wanted as close as possible.
Dd was born via cs at 39 wks and had stomach issues due to an "immature bowel".
Good point about not going on a really booked day, i just don't know why they moved ME to book other people.
Guess I was spoiled with my old ob, they did it whenever I wanted. Last time they day came and I asked for 2 more days and they accommodated me.
I guess I'm regretting switching a little, though I had to for ins reasons... Guess I should not have picked a solo practiotioner.

See that is my first reason for not wanting the date they gave me.. Its a few days sooner, and I would prefer to give the baby a chance of choosing.
I know it doesn't mean much in the long run, but it was upsetting learning at 36 wks, after telling everyone the date, trying to plan around that (while still knowing the baby can choose to come sooner), that THEY changed it without my knowledge... It was kind of a fluke that I even happened to find out at that time.
Who knows when they were going to let me know.
